Some of the best healing stories happen when you allow yourself to hurt properly. 
I've learned that the best way to heal is to heal unashamed. Do not be ashamed to feel the way you feel and don't feel bad for expressing how you feel. It's okay to cry, it's okay to scream. Don't fight the pain because you only end of feeling worse. I know I sound like a crazy person but I wish I'd told myself this sooner.

I was an emotional wreck with nobody to check me, I was being a crazy lady blaming the world for my problems and scolding myself for not being okay. Sometimes it's okay to not be okay. It's okay to wake up in the morning and not want to wake up, it's okay to feel like the end of your world has happened. It is completely okay to ugly cry because life is a mess. Don't ever shame yourself for being in touch with your emotions, don't ever shame yourself for being human!  Shit happens! Life can get in the way of your plans and it's fine to act up and cry just as long as you don't wallow in self pity and forget yourself. Always remember to pick yourself up when you fall. Live your life shamelessly, don't fight the pain; just feel and heal.
